Trump faces Hollywood, Alcatraz, calls a pope image a joke

President Donald Trump fights both several new battles with a wave of initiatives that cause dismay in the world.
And that does not even have the trade war he launched.
Hollywood is in a state of panic and perplexity, on the vow of Trump to slap 100% prices on any film made outside the United States – even if they are American manufacturing films.
Some countries, such as Canada – not yet the 51st state, although Trump made the ground to visit Prime Minister Mark Carney yesterday before keeping their meeting – offer lucrative incentives to attract American filmmakers, with Toronto filming made to look like New York or Los Angeles
Carney says Canada is not for sale, Trump answers: “ never say '' '

Gavin Newsom urged Trump to support a federal tax incentive of $ 7.5 billion in the film industry, much greater than the own credit of $ 330 million in California.
Trump called Newsom “roughly incompetent” to have allowed the film industry “to be removed in Hollywood”.
I would blame especially the streaming services; People have used to watching movies and television shows on their phones and laptops, whether Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Max, Hulu or others.
And of course, Trump and the governor of the blue state, who obviously has presidential aspirations, would find himself in a game of blame.
Trump also wants to rebuild the infamous Alcatraz prison.
The island of San Francisco, called “The Rock”, was used as a federal prison from 1934 to 1963, when it was closed due to massive costs. Gangsters such as “Machine Gun” Kelly and Al Capone, which Trump frequently likes to quote, were held there.
“When we were a more serious nation, in the past times, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals and keep them away from anyone who could harm Trump.
Since these bursts had to swim a mile in freezing waters to reach San Francisco, there has never been a successful flight. Most are dead.

But I consider this movement to be largely symbolic. It is difficult to imagine that Trump will be able to pay the bill – although Pam Bondi insists that it will save money – and the island will remain a tourist attraction.
And then there is the story of Pope Donald.
Trump is now trying to reject the image of AI, which I am sure you saw.
“You mean they can't take a joke? You don't want to say Catholics, you mean false media? Catholics loved it.”

President Trump published an image generated by AI -AI as a Pope on Truth Social last Friday – quickly generating a media fire storm. (@ Realdonaldtrump / social social)
“I had nothing to do with that,” said Trump. “Someone invented a photo of me dressed like the Pope, and they put it on the internet.”
He therefore minimizes the image and distance himself from him – not an easy maneuver.
But Jacqui Heinrich de Fox asked him why the controversial image was later published on the official account of the White House. Trump withdrew by saying that he wanted to have “amused”.

Many Catholics, especially in leadership, are livid on what they consider sacrilege.
The former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi posted: “This is an image that offers believers, insults institutions and shows that the world right leader likes to be a clown.”
The Catholic Conference of New York State, as noted by the Washington Post, published: “There is nothing intelligent or funny in this image, Mr. President. We have just built our beloved Pope François and the Cardinals are about to enter a solemn conclave to elect a new successor from Saint-Pierre.
The bishop of Springfield, ill., Wrote: “The Bible tells us:” Don't be mistaken: God is not mocked “(Galatians 6: 7).” The pope is the vicar of Christ. By publishing an image of himself pretending to be the Pope, President Trump makes fun of God, the Catholic Church and the papacy … “
Meanwhile, Trump did something else this week that may have surprised people.
He took the same position on the mifepristone abortion pill as the Biden administration.
In a legal file, the Trump team asked a federal judge to take legal action by three conservative prosecutors aimed at seriously restricting access to the pill.

And he was filed in Texas before judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, who has history of opposing abortion, as deputy adviser to a conservative and deeply religious institute.
Does this not reflect the accusation by law against the Liberals, that one judge can impose his will on the country by an attentive place?
Trump, of course, takes credit from the end of Roe c. Wade by appointing the three judges of the Supreme Court who included the conservative majority 6-3.

The administration's file does not deal with the bottom of the case. He argues a procedural argument according to which the prosecution does not meet the legal standard to be heard by a Tribunal in Texas.
Judge Kacsmaryk, which is based in part on a law of 1873, judged that the AGS of Idaho, Missouri and Kansas could continue their trial because “the complainants are likely to undergo irreparable damage if the motion is not granted. At least two women died of chemical abortion drugs last year”.
If the Trump administration is on appeal, it would the least slow down on a drug that the FDA approved for the first time in 2000.

Abortion may have disappeared a little as a first line political problem. But Trump always has the capacity to surprise – and lead the news agenda.
