Trump wants to redo the supersonic sky, signs a decree that changes the situation – Redstate

If you are a frequent traveler, you know that flying from one ocean to another takes most of the day and can let you exhausted. Personally, I find the trip from the west coast to the east to be much worse than the reverse trip due to the time zones involved, but the two can be exhausting.
President Donald Trump wants to do something about it, and on Friday, he signed a decree that brings us back over time and once again allowing supersonic commercial travel (faster than sound speed). It was rightly entitled “President Donald J. Trump takes measures to direct the world in supersonic flight”, and this calls for the abolition of heavy regulations which had actually anchored high -speed flights.
Direct the world in supersonic flight: Today, President Donald J. Trump has signed an executive decree to promote supersonic aviation in the United States.
- America once directed the world in supersonic aviation, but decades of stifling regulations have founded progress. This order removes regulatory obstacles so that American companies can dominate the supersonic flight again.
- The ordinance orders the administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to repeal the prohibition of terrestrial supersonic flight, to establish a standard of certification based on noise and to repeal other regulations which hinder supersonic flight.
The prescription is in detailed detail of many other efforts to increase regulations and “restore the United States as an undisputed leader in high-speed aviation”.
Heavy regulations were the reason why it takes five hours to control the cross-country.
So far!

Concorde supersonic jet was once a regular show at JFK airport in New York, but They left Since 2003 due to legal disputes and economic difficulties. However, they were not allowed to fly over the fruity plains and were limited to transoceanic flights:
Regulations [preventing civilian supersonic flight over the United States] Was implemented in 1973 and prohibited civilian flights above sound speed in American territory and directly assigned the Bac and Aerospatiale plans, partners of the Concorde project, a plane of supersonic passengers.
The order of Trump establishes a deadline of 18 to 24 months for the FAA to publish a new regulation which creates an acceptable noise certification standard for supersonic planes.
The change comes shortly after the law on the modernization of supersonic aviation (SAM) at the American Congress by the Republican Senator Ted Budd of North Caroline.
Break the sound barrier, once again. Today, @Realdonaldtrump has published a decree that effectively raises the 52-year ban on civil supersonic flight on land in the United States, he orders the FAA to repeal the supersonic speed limit as long as planes do not produce an audible sonic … pic.twitter.com/4jqeccpwt

He orders the abrogation of the supersonic speed limit as long as planes do not produce an audible sound boom on the ground.
Thank you, President Trump, for unlocked the future of faster and quieter trips.
The largest beneficiary of this order seems to be a company called Boom Supersonic, which develops the opening::
With a capacity of 80 passengers, the four -motors jet will fly to Mach 1.7, a lower performance than the Concorde, but reaches less expensive and with less environmental impact.
Boom promises to shorten distances on interior flights in the United States, but at a lower speed, up to Mach 1.3. The reason is that the company bets on the concept of Mach cut, in which the shock waves generated by the supersonic boom are dissipated before reaching the surface.
How cool, to travel from one ocean to another and a few hours ago in the day?
The only burning question remaining, however, is the speed with which a militant judge appointed by Obama will jump with a temporary ban order, because a supersonic flight is unconstitutional or something.
