Before the beginnings of Material 3 Expression at E / S 2025 later this month, an overhaul of the Google Clock application emerged.
According to screenshots shared by mystical leaks (which previously gave a look at Android 16) Today, the modifications start with the lower bar and what seems to be a narrower pill indicator. Each of the TAB icons has been very slightly changed with more details, while “Clock” has been renamed “World Clock”, and it is now “alarms” and “timeries”.
THE Alarms Tab (like the rest of the application) presents a large fab, as before, but it is now a rounded square and in the lower right corner. The modification of an alarm (or the creation of a new one) opens a sheet with the time selector above, while you can see the user interface for the alarm name, sound, vibrator, weather forecasts and Google assistant routine. A new font is used throughout the application.
Current
The main change in your alarm list is the way assets see the background of their highlighted card. In the same vein, the “dismissal” button is more important, while the narrower material 3 on / off is used.

The user interface to create Stopwatch To a few increments present at the bottom, and also immediately allows you to define a name. Instead of a “play” icon, you get a “Start” button. There are a few adjustments to the active timer interface, such as the way the game / break was moved to the circle.
Old vs new
In the meantime, the Stopwatch Get rid of the circle motif just for numbers. Simplification continues with icons replaced by text buttons for the stop, reset and tower which are much larger than before.
THE Bedtime Tab is relatively unchanged, while we are not looking at the global clock. The clock application would also be “100%” Jetpack composes, or “modern Toolkit recommended by Google for the construction of the native user interface”. Keep in mind that this design could change before launch.
Overall, Google used the expressive overhaul of equipment 3 as an opportunity to clean the clock application and make the user interface more intuitive, if not obvious.
