The city of Alpharetta goes ahead with a study to examine the feasibility of building a new sports place in the hope of attracting a professional hockey team in the state of Georgia.
Alpharetta, GA. – Alpharetta officials are launching a study of several months to explore the possibility of building a new sports place in the hope of bringing professional hockey to Georgia.
What we know:
The feasibility study, which should take five to six months, will examine whether the construction of an alpharetta arena has a financial and economic meaning. The effort is funded by the city's development authority and the Congress and Visitors Office.
What is the next step:
If the project is advancing, the proposed arena would be located in the North Point shopping center region.
The initiative comes when another similar proposal takes shape in the County of Forsyth. There, developers behind The gathering at South Forsthy Work on plans for a great development for mixed use which would include an arena of 18,000 places intended to organize a professional hockey team.
