In San Diego, Hirving “Chucky” Lozano scored twice, and the side of the San Diego expansion has rout the FC Dallas, 5-0, sending the FCD to its first defeat of the season on the road.
Dallas (4-4-3, 15 points) played to become only the fourth MLS team to record a sequence of unbeaten games to start a season.
Lozano scored in the 20th minute on a penalty kick and in the 27th minute. Anders Dreyer, Onni Valakari and Milan Iloski added goals for San Diego (5-4-2, 17 points).
San Diego dominated possession overnight, 61% at 39% of the FCD and the match contrasts strongly with the thrilling victory of Dallas against Inter Miami less than a week ago, where they scored 4 goals. Against San Diego, the FCD only managed two shots on the target.
The FCD welcomes AV Alta FC during the eighth of the eighth of the US Open Cup on Wednesday evening in Frisco. After that, they will stay at home to welcome the real Salt lake on Saturday evening.
