Why Nawazuddin Siddiqui from Costao feels that Bollywood has “creative poverty”? The actor reveals the reason behind the industry of demonstrating Anurag Kashyap

Many actors and filmmakers have expressed their concerns concerning the decline in the state of the film industry in Hindi, which is struggling with frequent box office failures and dependence on a repetitive formula. In a recent conversation, Nawazuddin Siddiqui criticized the industry for its lack of new ideas and innovation, highlighting its “creative poverty”. Costao's actor also revealed the real reason behind the exit of Anurag Kashyap from the film industry in Hindi, suggesting that it was a direct consequence of the very culture that removes creativity.

In a recent conversation with Puja Talwar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui criticized the Hindi film industry to constantly support formula -focused projects in the past five years.

He would have described the growing trend of consequences as “pathetic” and would have attributed it to the increase in insecurity within the industry. According to him, filmmakers tend to stick to a formula once it works, operating it on several occasions instead of exploring new ideas.

Siddiqui invented the term “creativiverup” to underline the serious lack of originality in the film industry. Making a comparison with financial bankruptcy, he pointed out that industry is faced with a similar crisis in terms of creativity, describing the situation as extreme creative poverty.

The actor Gangs of Wasseypur did not chop words because he accused members of the intellectual flight film industry, in particular to raise content from the cinema in southern India. He referred to them as “thieves”, he asked how these individuals could be creative.

He pointed out that scenes were copied not only from regional films, but also various other sources, including cult classics which ultimately became successful. According to him, the act of plagiarism has been so standardized that it is no longer even considered a serious problem.

The actor of Costao underlined a disturbing practice in the film industry in Hindi, where the filmmakers gave the video of a film and would ask others to reproduce it simply.

He questioned what we could expect from an industry that operates in this way, adding that such practices would only make people's boom sharing the same ideas within the industry.

He also discussed the departure of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, suggesting that the release of Kashyap was the result of the very culture that stifles creativity. Nawazuddin stressed that talented actors and directors, like Kashyap, are forced to leave due to the environment in force.
