USA Today Sports Network 2025 All-Sec Softball Awards
A pair of players who set up seasons of monsters – helping their teams to win regional home championships – won the two largest prices of the USA Sports Network all -sec teams.
A panel of six sports editors who regularly cover dry softball selected Arkansas' BRI Ellis As a player of the year of the dry and the Tennessee Karlyn Pickens As a dry launcher of the year.
Ellis reaches 0.487 with 25 circuits, 68 products produced, a percentage of slugging of 1.221 and a basic percentage of 0.659 – leading the conference on average in the stick, in percentage of slugging, in basic percentage and in circuits at home and equal to the fourth row of the points produced.
Only Cori McMillan from Virginia Tech has struck more circuits this season than Ellis.
Pickens is 20-7 with an MPM of 0.96, withdrawing 221 in 167 â…“ sleeves.
The only nationwide qualification launcher with a better time is Nijaree Canady from Texas Tech. The total withdrawal of Pickens is sixth at the national level.
Pickens was a unanimous choice for honor.
Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso has been selected as a dry coach.
The Sooners lost the heart of their team, which won four consecutive titles from the World World Series, but they still prospered in their first dry season.
Oklahoma has swept the Arkansas, Texas and the state of Mississippi en route to the regular seasonal title of the conference.
Audrey Vandagriff of Alabama and Taylor Shumaker of Florida, first year honors of the year.
Vandagriff struck .404 with 48 points scored and 48 stolen bases. No other dry base has a stolen base.
Shumaker struck 0.374 with a 75 -point -produced and equal summit with his teammate Kendra Falby as the head of the point conference with 63.
The Oklahoma launcher, Sam Landry, who was transferred from Louisiana during the offseason, earned the honors of the newcomer of the year.
Landry has an 18-4 file with an MPM of 2.10, withdrawing 147 in 143 â…” sleeves.
Ellis was one of the three unanimous selections of the first team. She was joined by Teagan Kavan launchers from Texas and Pickens.
Kavan has a 21-4 file with an MPM of 2.24, with 183 stick withdraws in 146 â…” sleeves.
The rest of the first team includes the Texas Reese Atwood recipient, the second goal player from Alabama, Kali Heivilin, the third basic player of Tennessee Taylor Pannell, Texas A & M Koko Wooley, Florida Kendra Falby, Oklahoma Outfield Kasidi Pickering and Sierra Sacco.
Ella Parker of Oklahoma and Mia Scott of Texas were equal to the point of designated player.
