No matter how long a game is: sometimes 75 minutes can look like 3 hours if the game is bad, while a three -hour game can first cause an interior groan, then flow pleasantly if the writing and the performance are in well -oiled tandem.
Kenneth Longan's Wait for me darling (Theater Lucille Lortel, as of December 22) belongs, Above allto this last category: it's long, and it's long, but it's okay; Not star in gold, but much more than pleasant. This is due to the engaging writing of Lonergan and a collection of differently distinctive and carefully drawn performance, led by Adam Driver as a famous star of the country called Strings (Real Name Clarence), wondering if he could / should abandon all the external signs of glory for a simpler life after the death of his mother.

The driver's strings are with more subtlety – the comedy driver is leaning perfectly in the strings knowing and behaving like a large star (a guitar is launched in the sights in the first minutes), while retaining the humility of a small town boy and the two qualities colliding with each other. The strings can in no case face the real world, but now wants to exist.
