President Donald Trump called two of the children of the TV trap imprisoned Todd and Julie Chrisley from the oval office on Tuesday, informing them of his plans to forgive their parents on Wednesday.
The couple, known for their roles in the television show “Chrisley Knows Best”, sought Trump's grace in February after being convicted of having pretended to destroy banks on tens of millions of dollars in 2022, said NBC News previously.
A judge had rendered a 12-year sentence for Todd Chrisley and seven years for his wife, Julie Chrisley in November 2022, after a Jury of Atlanta found them guilty of fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy to fraud the United States after a federal trial of several weeks.
A White House official told NBC News that Trump would sign the pardons once they are ready – probably within 24 hours.
Trump announced his intention to forgive the couple during a phone call he made to two of their children, Savannah and Grayson Chrisley.

“It's a terrible thing, but it's a good thing because your parents are going to be free and clean.” Trump said during the phone call. “We will try to do it tomorrow, so give them – I don't know them – but give them my greetings and I wish them good luck. I wish them a good life.”
Grayson Chrisley replied by saying: “Mr. President, I just want to say thank you for bringing back my parents.”
White House spokesperson Harrison Fields said in a statement that Trump was “always happy to give Americans a second chance, especially those who were unjustly targeted and too prosecuted by an unfair legal system”.
“President Trump called Savannah and his brother from the oval office to personally inform them that he would forgive their parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, whose sorrows were far too hard,” said Fields.
