Several 5000 -year -old temples in Malta seem to have been oriented towards specific stars, suggesting that temples could be schools for celestial navigation.
The ancients built seven temples through the Maltese archipelago from 3800 to 2300 BC. Filacées from large cut stones weighing several tons, the complexes are among the first megalithic structures never built.
