The current war between the Trump administration and the Harvard University has taken a new turn, the government sending Harvard a letter which, in the midst of what seems to be a crop crop crop ranting, announces that the university will not receive other research subsidies. The letter potentially suggests that Harvard could see restored funding by “containing a federal law for a long time”, but the previous requests of the administration included conditions which went far beyond those required by law.
The letterSent by the Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, makes somewhat difficult to say exactly what the government wants, because most of the text is a disturbed diatriber written in maga-esse Florida. Instead of using these funds to advance the education of its students, Harvard engages in a systemic model of violation of federal law. Where do many of these “students” come from, who are they, how do they go to Harvard, or even in our country-and why is there so much hatred? These are questions that we must answer, among many others, but the biggest question of all is: why will Harvard not give simple answers to the American public?
Should Harvard answer these questions so that funding is restored? It is not clear.
From there, the letter changes subject so often that it becomes difficult to remember that billions of dollars in funding to some of the most eminent researchers in the world are at stake.
