The regional administrator of the EPA meets business leaders, water managers and the legal community of New Jersey

Trenton, nj – Yesterday, Michael Martucci, the administrator of the American environmental protection agency, Michael Martucci, engaged in commercial communities, public services and legal communities of New Jersey to discuss the agency's environmental priorities and strengthen partnerships through the State – to advance the objectives of EPA to allow reform, cooperative federalism and cross -collaboration.
“We focused on building bridges – with business leaders, public services and legal experts, because environmental progress occurs faster and last longer when we work together”, ” said the regional administrator of the EPA Michael Martucci.
The day started with a round business table organized by trade and industry Association of New Jersey (Cianj). The discussion focused on the current EPA work in the State, safe regulations in drinking water and energy priorities. The regional administrator Martucci spoke directly with business leaders of the Agency's collaboration and commitment to support both economic development and environmental management.
After the round table, the regional administrator Martucci visited the Carl J. Olsen water treatment station in Edison, NJ. The factory is operated by the Middlesex Water Company. Joined by the director of the factory Mark Theiler, the regional administrator saw the cutting -edge processing operations of the factory and discussed the company's response to APF in drinking water. Middlesex water described its plans for a new treatment center to deal with contamination in the South Plainfield field wells.
To close the day, the regional administrator Martucci was the star speaker of the Steward G. Pollock Environmental American Inn of Court, addressing a gathering of environmental law practitioners in the public and private sectors. Joined by the environmental section of the New Jersey Bar Association, the event provided a forum to discuss evolving legal problems and the role of EPA in the application of environmental protections while working with regulated communities.
