The American Commission Securities and Exchange continues to reduce hostility to the projects of cryptographic and non -buttry tokens. In another optimistic decision, the regulatory committee ended an investigation into Cyberkongz, a renowned non -fascinable token project created on Ethereum. Previously, the United States was known for its hardness to Crypto and NFT projects.
The dry drops probe on cyberkongz
In a blog article on April 15, the Cyberkongz team confirmed that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission had abandoned its investigation into their tokens and non -budgetary games. Launched in March 2021, Cyberkongz is a non -bubilible token project with a limited edition of 1,000 2D and 3D avatars generated at random from Gorillas hosted on the Ethereum blockchain network. The NFT collection was created by the digital artist Myoo.
The SEC officially closed its investigation into Cyberkongz.
After years of dispute, unfair allegations, paralyzing legal costs and the greatest obstacle that we could eventually meet – we are free.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission gave a good opinion to the Cyberkongz NFT team in December 2024, informing them that a survey was underway and that potential accusations were envisaged. The regulatory committee has raised questions about the issuance of tokens (ERC-20) as well as blockchain games. The regulation agency argued that these tokens should be recorded as titles, alarming for other projects using similar structures.
Cyberkongz has received a notice from the dry well.
We are extremely disappointed with the approach that dry has adopted towards us, but we will get up and fight for a better future that holds more clarity for NFT projects.

One of their main concerns about Cyberkongz was the sale of the Genesis Kongz NFT series in April 2021, which was actually a contractual migration. The Division of the Application of the United States's SEC laws approached Cyberkongz with a very worrying rhetoric that they could not publish an ERC-20 crypto token in tandem with a blockchain game without recording it as guarantee.
In response to the advice, Cyberkongz's management has described the position of the SEC the reflection of an “anti-drypto program” but expressed its hope for regulatory change with new leadership in the American administration. Fortunately, under the direction of Donald Trump, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission abandoned almost all surveys on NFT and Crypto projects started during the administration of Biden.
Other NFT projects paid by the dry
Cyberkongz joins a list of Crypto and NFT projects paid by the United States Securities and Exchange committee after receiving good opinions in the previous regime. Earlier this year, the regulatory agency closed an investigation into Opensea, one of the main non -bubilible tokens markets on the NFT market. The agency said that all NFT collections on the Opensea market platform were unregistered titles.
The dry closes his investigation into @Opensea. It is a victory for all those who create and build in our space. Trying to classify the NFT as titles would have been a step back – the one who misinterprets the law and slows innovation.

In March 2025, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission officially closed its investigation into its company NFT, Yuga Labs. The regulation committee put Yuga laboratories to a meticulous examination three years ago, quoting that the digital asset company exchanged unregulated securities. Yuga Labs is the studio Digital Asset incubation behind the popular ape yacht club and mutant ape yacht club nft collections.
After more than 3 years, the SEC officially closed its investigation into Yuga Labs.
It is a huge victory for NFTS and all creators advancing our ecosystem. NFTs are not titles.
