Like the other metro teams, Amarillo High has experienced two solid pitching performances in their series against Abilene High, but it was only when the Sandies came to life on Saturday that they were assured that they would pass the next round.
After having struggled to hit the ball with only two points in the first two games, the Sandies hit 19 strokes in the third decisive match and won a 10-5 victory in Lubbock-Cooper to win the 2-1 series. They will go to the tour of division I next week against El Paso El Dorado with the date and location to be determined.
Amarillo High (24-13-1) had two excellent departure pitch performance to open the series. The Sandies won the first 2-1 match on Friday, while Taegen Tate dominated, going to the distance while abandoning only four strokes and withdrawing 12 with a single walk.
However, Tate's efforts seemed to be for nothing as Amarillo High dragged 1-0 at the bottom of the seventh. Gabe Ortiz started the Channel with a simple off the Starter camp Abilene Churchill, then the Palon Jones pinch runner went to third place when Clinton Rodriguez reached an error.
The Sandies then succeeded in a double flight to equalize the match, Jones returning home and Rodriguez taking second place. Oliver Parsons then chose left to go home Rodriguez with the winning sleeve.
Abilene (19-14-1) equalized the series with a 2-0 victory on Saturday. The Sandies only managed two strokes of George Ferguson d'Abilene, who dominated their alignment with 16 sticks to the stick and without walks.
Tate Blackwell launched well for the Sandies, abandoning only six strokes in six rounds, but the two points he abandoned in the fifth were more than sufficient for Ferguson.
The Sandies finally found their groove in marble in the third match, exceeding their total points for the two previous games with three points at the top of the first. Each High starter from Amarillo had at least a safe blow, including six having at least three.
Clayton Norrell launched 6 2/3 innings to win the victory.
Pampa needed two victories on Friday to move forward and the harvesters obtained them, beating Greenwood 12-7 and 6-1 in Lockney to go to the region.
The harvesters (16-12-1) had to win two Friday since they lost the opening of the series since the first 8-3 match on Thursday. They will play El Paso Riverside next week at a time and a place to be determined.
Pampa jumped on Greenwood (17-10) since the start of the second game, opening the match with six unanswered points. The harvesters opened things with three at the top of the Firth, underlined by the two -point circuit from Isaiah Anguano.
Anguano was the star of the game for Pampa. Not only did he drive in four points, but he also started on the mound, granting only four strokes and an unpaid race.
The decisive match was tied three after four rounds before Pampa burst with eight fifth points to take momentum. Isiah Estrada drew a promenade loaded with the basics to bring back home. Jarren Hill had a single two points and Anguiano had another great success with a double of two points which helped the harvesters to build an insurmountable advance of 11-3.
Hill, Anguiano, Max Neff and Brooks Barton all drove in two points for Pampa.
Randall won a pair of very different victories to sweep Fort Stockton in Lamesa, winning a 3-2 launcher duel on Friday, then reaching a Run-Rule victory on Saturday 11-1 to move forward.
The Raiders (20-9-1) will play Clint in the region's tour next week in Seminole, with the first match scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. and the second match for Saturday at noon.
Things did not start well for Randall Starter, Gio Miranda, in the first match, while Fort Stockton (14-16) took it for an advance of 2-0, an unprecedented race. But the left -hander was also clear, abandoning only two strokes and withdrawing eight.
Randall excluded and finally took the lead for the first time on a simple RBI by Collin Miller at the end of the fourth.
In the seventh, Fort Stockton threatened by putting runners with a walk and an error. Miranda then went up Gama Corral to the mound and put an end to the game.
The Saturday's match was much easier for the raiders, who brought their bats largely, beating 12 strokes.
Randall opened it with seven points at the head of the fourth to take an advance of 9-0. Kaison Benton had a triple of two points and Breken Melton crowned the round with a double of three points.
The raiders scored two points at the top of the sixth to reach the race cycle margin.
Even with the prolific offensive explosion, Randall has always had solid throws in the last match. Brae Silva launched four goalless rounds, abandoning only an unprecedented race with two strokes and six stick withdrawals. Paul Aguilera relieved and launched two perfect sleeves to close it.
Like their Canyon Isd West Plains colleague, the Eagles canyon had two very solid launcher games against Seminole. Unlike wolves, however, it was not enough. It was a heartbreaking way to finish a year after a race for the Uil State baseball tournament just a year ago.
Canyon underwent a pair of heartbreaking defeats, losing the first game Thursday in Seminole, 2-1, then falling in the second match Friday in Canyon, 4-3 in eight heats. The Eagles ended their season 24-6.
The second match was tied 3-3 after four rounds and stayed up to seven years, forcing additional sleeves. Zabien Urteaga launched six solid rounds, but gave way to Bayler Schilling to the seventh.
Schilling launched a perfect seventh, but gave up a simple in mind at the eighth of Rowin Donaldson, who advanced in the second row on a sacrifice. Obed Reyes then chose and Eloy Macias was intentionally market to load the basics.
The pinch shot Owen Youngblood then put a perfect compression stroke to bring Donaldson back to the house with the shots. Donaldson removed the Eagles in order to end the game.
In the first match, Colt Cruth de Canyon was masterful on the mound, only abandoning three strokes in six rounds. However, a difficult first round condemned him as well as the Eagles, as a first runner on an error and marked and another marked on wild land.
After abandoning two strokes in the first, Cruth only abandoned the rest of the path.
The only handle of Canyon came in the fifth on the Single RBI of Urteaga. The Eagles had two runners with a withdrawal in the seventh, but Jacob Burris aligned himself in a double game to end it.

Childres Bobcats are the only Texas Panhandle 3A Panhandle team after the first weekend of play in playoffs.
The bobcats were able to maintain their season to make a slaton scan in the Bi-District II division tour of class 3A thanks to victories of 14-9 and 12-7 on Slaton Friday and Saturday.
The bobcats (14-11-1) will now play Lamesa in the region's tour at a time and a place to be determined.
The Children offensive was on fire by hitting 29 strokes in the two games. Drake Rabe was the clutch in the first match of 2 for 4 with a product point. The teammate Luke Rodriguez was a perfect 3-in-3 in the second match with an RBI. Rodriguez had two triples in the series.
Childress opened the match on Saturday with a second round of nine rounds.
Bushland, Dalhart and Tulia were all eliminated this weekend.

Gruver opened the qualifiers for Division II of the class 2A of the UIL with the same momentum with which they closed the regular season. The leviers were able to use an exceptional pitch which was more than sufficient to eliminate Lockney with a laundering 10-0 followed by 1-0. The leviers remain undefeated over the year at 17-0 and will now face Tahoka in the tour of the region at a time and a place to be determined. Stephen Cowan and Briggs Satterfield both handcuffed the Longhorn bats in the sweep. Cowan launched a safe blow on six rounds in the first match to accumulate six stick withdrawals. Cowan was also 1 for 3 marble with two products produced. Satterfield followed in match 2, launching a full game broadcasting two strokes with five stick withdrawals. SATTERFIELD also went 2 for 4 in the first game with a triple of two points.
Wellington's Skyrockts did a quick job from Sanford-Fritch with a 15-4 victory in the Bi-District Channel of Class 2A Division I. Wellington (12-5) will face a new house in the region with the match 1 for 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Floydada. TJ Salinas was 2 for 3 with three points produced against the Eagles. The teammate Caleb Strickland went 2 for 2 with a double and two products produced.
West Texas High won Clarendon's scan with a 3-2 victory followed by a 7-3 victory in the class 2A division II qualifiers at the Tascosa High School. Brodey Stone collected 11 stick withdrawals in 5.1 rounds in the first match. Cash Fulton launched a full game with six K to close the series. The Comanches (9-11) go to the region to fight against the strings at the same time and the place of determination.
Nazareth intimidated Borden County with a 14-1 victory and a 14-0 laundering in the Bi-District round. The Swifts (16-2) are advancing to play Booker (12-4) in the region's round with the first in a three-game series from Thursday in Littlefield. Lincoln Pohlmeier went 2-in-4 in match 1 with three produced points. Zane Schulte worked five rounds without a safe blow with seven stick withdrawals to close the series.
Booker continued to cruise by beating Shamrock 25-4 in the 1A Bi-District cycle. Chase Nelson launched a safe blow with 14 stick withdrawals.
