Sunset on March – Nasa

Nasa March Exploration Rover Spirit captured this breathtaking view while the sun was flowing under the edge of Gusev's crater on Mars 20 years ago. In this image, the bluish glow in the sky above the sun would be visible to us if we were there, but an artifact of the infrared imaging capacities of the panoramic camera is that with this filter combination, the redness of the sky more distant from the sunset is exaggerated with the diurnal colors of the Martian sky.
