Softball: Tautges eliminates frustrations on cardinals – Brainerd Dispatch

Brainerd – Callie Skoglund does not deliberately try to make her launcher crazy – but she should.

Brainerd's Junior Warriors Junior knows, when Mya Tautges does not get the calls she thinks she should, the MPH on her land becomes even faster.

This was the case on Thursday, May 8, when Tautges closed the Cardinals of Alexandria for a victory for the Central Lakes 8-1 conference in Adamson Field.

“It has actually been improved a lot since the start of the season,” said Skoglund. “I know she is going to division I next year and everything, but she improves each time.”

“Our goal yesterday in practice was to put the ball at stake,” said Jordan. “We really worked on the two -strike swing, or on the trusted swing. This can apply when you are ahead of the count. They really did it once they crossed the alignment once. They really took this to heart. They just wanted to put the ball into play and not try to hit a home run. Do not try to do something apart from what they could do and it worked. ”

Brainerd castigated four circuits in a 19-1 victory over the lakes of Detroit on Tuesday, May 6. Mya Tautges had two circuits. Skoglund smoked one and Ari Halbert made his first career home run, a big home.
