Smokey Robinson denies allegations of “false and false” sexual assault

Smokey Robinson denied the “vile, false” allegations of sexual assault after four women filed a complaint against the Motown singer on Tuesday.

In a declaration shared with The Hollywood ReporterRobinson's lawyer, Christopher Frost, said that he “answered our customers Smokey and Frances Robinson”, adding that “evidence shows that it is simply a ugly method to try to extract money from an 85 -year -old American icon – $ 50 million dollars, to be exact.”

“Thanks to this process, we saw the bizarre theaters of yesterday's press conference, while the lawyers of the complainants underlined vile allegations, false allegations against Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, trying to make the public enroll as an involuntary participant in the media circus they are trying to create,” said Frost in a statement on Wednesday.

Frost added that he would “fiercely defend” Robinson and his wife, Frances Robinson, who was also appointed defendant in the trial, “against these false allegations”. He also shared his plans to submit a request to reject the trial and resolve “many aspects of the complaint that defy credulity as well as the problems linked to the alleged chronologies, inconsistencies and relations between complainants and others.”

According to a trial brought before the Los Angeles Superior Court on May 6, four anonymous women accused Robinson of raping them, with causes of action, in particular negligence, the sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and a hostile work environment, among other allegations, including paying a minimum page.

Robinson's wife, Frances, is also appointed in the trial, the women alleging that she “had not taken the appropriate corrective measures to prevent the deviant misconduct of the Robinson defendant despite the full knowledge of her previous acts of sexual misconduct”, declaring Robinson with allegations with other women.
