Adityya Chopra has never worked on the Badmaash Company sets, said “Isko Kaha se likhne ka shaukh chadh gaya”: Parmeet Sethi | Bollywood News

The actor Parmeet Sethi was at the top of his career when he decided to move away from the spotlight and continue the scenario. He wrote a love story entitled The Prince of Lahore in the context of the India-Pakistan relations and the first person who came to mind was his dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, director Aditya Chopra. However, Adityya was not very eager to meet Parmeet, thinking “Isko Kaha writing herself Ka Shaukh Aagaya”. In an exclusive conversation with Screme, Parmeet recalled how he approached Aditya with the script of the Prince of Lahore, which finally led to the manufacture of Badmaash Company, with Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the main roles.

Parmeet recalled that he had met Aditya after writing his first script, the Prince of Lahore. He said, “Adi and I did not meet much after DDLJ, but we had developed a link. And after all these years when I approached him with a script, he was just like: “Arey Yaar, Parmeet Ko Likhne Ka Shaukh Kaha Se Aagaya, Ab Isse Bhi Milna Padega. Badtameez.

Unfortunately, the Prince of Lahore could not see the light of day due to the 26/11 attacks, which prevented an Indian crew from going to Lahore for filming. Parmeet Sethi then wrote another script in just six days, Badmaash Company, which Aditya Chopra loved and immediately gave Parmeet the green light, insisting that he makes the film itself.
