Popular fence of Wilson Nightclub 'The Station' after a year in business :: Wral.com

Wilson's first nightclub closes after less than a year.
The station, located in an old mechanic shop at 222 Barnes St. South, posted on Facebook that it would close on May 20. The place has just opened its doors last year.
The owners of the station wrote:
The powers to be closed in a few weeks, so take advantage of it, take advantage of the next 3 weeks with us before closing for good! We really hope you can support us in the coming weeks and help us send us with a blow. We do not want negativity on this post, but rather love and support. We appreciate the opportunity that we had to be part of the city where I grew up even if it was only for a few months. We also respect the opinions of those in power and the direction they want to go. We ask that this article be to make sure to come and see us as much as you can before closing and not denigrating an entity or a person. We need your love, support and business more than ever for the next 3 weeks. Facebook station
According to Wilson County Tourism, the station was the “first nightclub to bring nightlife and music in the heart of Wilson”.
The bar and the club were known for dance and nightlife, organizing piano duel shows, online dance, karaoke, live music and more.
Wral viewers stretched out, disappointed with the news.
“This place was pleasant, clean and safe … It's sad,” wrote a fan, who wanted to remain anonymous. “It was one of the few fun places to meet people. There is no dating scene here and singles are leaving because of this and limited entertainment.”
The station did not explain the reason for the closure.
