Pensacola, Florida – The member of the North West Congress of Florida, Jimmy Patronis, shared his plans to ensure that companies in the region can prosper.
Wear News spoke with the Congress member on Wednesday morning. He has won the elections for replacing Matt Gaetz in the house for a little over a month.
The owners of small businesses also weigh on the conversation. In downtown Pensacola, they tell Wear News that their greatest concern is to park in the city center.
The co -owner of Rocket To Saturn Vintage Vanna Smith has been selling vintage parts in a Pensacola window for two years.
“We have things here that are 20 years old in the Y2K era over 100 years from the Victorian era,” said Smith.
Smith told Wear News that his vintage boutique was not only his livelihood but also his passion. Patronis said that stores like this advance northwestern Florida.
“Everything about small businesses, the jobs they create and the care of the economy in northwestern Florida,” said patronis.
The member of the newly elected congress sits on the committee of the Chamber of Small Businesses. In an interview with Wear News, patronis says that meeting the needs of business owners is a priority.
“We will continue to listen to these creators of companies and jobs in our state, and to ensure that the policies we defend in Washington, DC, help them develop their business,” said patronis.
Patronis said that one of these policies would be to control the tip of loans interest rates through the Small Business Administration.
Smith told Wear News that his shop does not use any loan, but said that better prices would be beneficial for others. She said her business faces a different challenge.
“When we find higher prices within our company, prices come into force for things such as detergents and coloring and sewing materials,” said Smith. “… this kind of thing increases as a price, which affects us in a second -hand manner,”

One person suggests reducing the percentage of sales tax, creating a uniform playground with large companies. Another person says they would like to see help from public services and better insurance coverage for small businesses.
