The business school at the University of Portland is no longer bearing by the name of Robert Pamplin Jr.
“The association named Dr. Pamplin with the University of Portland Affairs School was subject to an agreement that ended,” said a spokesperson for the University of Portland in an e-mail at Oregonian / Oregonlive.
The name of Pamplin seems to have been deleted from the website and the university's correspondence in the last month. The university has refused to draw up its declaration.
The change comes after Pampelin and its pamplin Corp. admitted to a legal regulation that they engaged in “transactions of many transactions” that they knew violating the laws on pensions and risked identifying pampelin companies.
The regulations came in a civil lawsuit brought by the federal government on behalf of the retirees. The Ministry of Labor said that Pampelin and Pamplin Corp. transferred real estate to the retirement fund to inflated values, leaving the underfunctioned pension.
