The president of the room, Mike Johnson, underlined an “aggressive” calendar that he established for “One Big Beautiful Bill” by President Donald Trump, insisting that the room is always on the target to approve the scan package by Memorial Day.
Speaking on “Fox News Sunday” Johnson said that his team was “on the right track, working 24 hours a day to deliver this national national division legislation for the American people as soon as possible”. He noted that the 11 committees have finished their work and that they “spent less and saved more than even we were initially projected”. He described the bill “a unique opportunity”.
Once the Budget Committee approves the measure, Johnson plans to send it to the committee of the Chamber's rules by mid-4. From there, he plans to bring it to the full ground before the end of the week so that the legislators can “respect our original deadline for the Memorial Day”.
Johnson stressed why the tight calendar is so important. “This is the vehicle through which we will give the mandate that the American people gave us in the last elections,” he said. He promised “historical economies for the American people, historic fiscal relief for American workers, [and] Historical investments in border security. »»

Johnson highlighted the importance of making Trump's tax cuts in 2017 permanent by 2026. He stressed that the package would eliminate taxes on overtime and advice, making a Trump 2024 campaign commitment and would present a new tax relief for social security beneficiaries. He also said that this would reduce taxes on “job creators”, thus encouraging American manufacturing and production across the country.
“This is a great thing. We cannot fail, and we will do it for the American people,” said Johnson.

Johnson said he was sharing their goal but is concerned about whether states can “reorganize their systems and ensure that the verification process” is strong enough.
“We are working on all these details, and we will do it,” he said, adding, “but I'm going to tell you what, it is the greatest reduction in spending in at least three decades, probably longer. It's historic.”

He expressed his confidence that a compromise on the work requirement of Medicaid would satisfy internal criticism but conceded that no democrat should support the bill.
