Israel says he started new ground operations in Gaza

Deir al -Balah, Gaza Strip (AP) – Israel announced on Sunday that it will allow a limited amount of humanitarian aid in Gaza After a blockade of almost three months, a few days after global experts in food security Famous warned.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that a “famine crisis” would endanger the new military offensive of Israel in Gaza, and his office approved the decision to allow a “basic” quantity of food in the territory of more than 2 million people.

It was not immediately clear when the help entered Gaza, or how. The Israeli military organization responsible for supervising the aid has not commented. Israel tried to impose A new aid system, despite the objections by humanitarian workers. Netanyahu said that Israel would work to ensure that aid does not reach activists.

Israel imposed the blockade from March 2, cutting all foods, medicines and other supplies in Gaza, while pressing Hamas to accept new ceasefire conditions. Israel resumed war a few days later, breaking a two -month truce.

Earlier Sunday, Israel said that it had launched new “extended” ground operations in its new offensive – the most important since the ceasefire. Air strikes killed at least 103 people, including dozens of children, hospitals and doctors. The bombing also forced the closure of the main hospital in the north of Gaza because it reported direct strikes.

Israel wants Hamas to accept a temporary cease-fire that would release Gaza's hostages but would not necessarily end the war. Hamas says it wants a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces and a path to the end of the war in the context of any agreement.

“When the Jews want a truce, Hamas refuses, and when Hamas wants a truce, the Jews refuse it. The two parties agree to exterminate the Palestinian people,” said Abu Mohammad Yassin, resident of Jabaliya, who was part of the new offensive on foot or in the trolleys of Dédale. “For the love of God, have mercy on us. We are tired of the trip. “

The Israeli army, which recently called tens of thousands of reservists, said that ground operations were throughout the Palestinian North and South territory. The Chief of the Child Staff of Israel, Lieutenant-General Eyal Zamir, said the plans include the “dissection” of the band.

Air strikes have killed more than 48 people – including 18 children and 13 women – in and around the southern city of Khan Younis, according to Nasser Hospital, which said that he had trouble counting the dead due to the state of the bodies.

In northern Gaza, a strike on a house in Jabaliya killed nine family members, according to the emergency services of the Gaza Ministry of Health. Another strike on a residence killed 10, including seven children and a woman, according to the Civil Defense, which operates under the government managed by Hamas.

The Israeli army had no immediate comments. His declaration announcing the ground operations said that preliminary strikes in last week have killed dozens of activists and reached more than 670 targets. Israel blame Hamas' civilian victims because the militant group operates in civil areas.

Interviews in Qatar

Israel said he would wait for the end of US President Donald Trump Visit to the Middle East Before launching his offensive, saying that he gave a chance for ceasefire. Trump did not visit Israel during his trip which ended on Friday.

The Netanyahu office said that his negotiation team in Qatar “worked to achieve every chance for an agreement”, including one that would eventually fight in exchange for the release of all 58 remaining hostages, the exile of Hamas from Gaza and the disarmament of the territory.

Hamas refused to leave Gaza or disarm.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said nearly 3,000 people had been killed since the end of the last ceasefire.

Frustration in Israel has increased. A small but growing number of Israelis refuse to present themselves to the military service, even risking imprisonment. Other Israelis posted photos of children killed in Gaza during weekly rallies requiring an agreement to release all hostages and put an end to war.

The war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023 when activists led by Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and removing 251 others. Israel’s reprisal offensive killed more than 53,000 Palestinians, including many women and children, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which does not make the difference between civilians and combatants in its count.

The hospital quotes the Israeli “seat”

Health officials said that the fight against the Indonesian hospital in the north of Gaza and an Israeli military seat promised to stop. It was the main medical establishment in the North after Israeli strikes last year forced Kamal Adwan and Beit Hanoun hospitals to stop offering services.

“There is a direct objective on the hospital, including the intensive care unit,” said Indonesian director of the hospital, Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, in a statement, adding that no one could reach around 30 patients and 15 members of medical staff inside.

The Israeli army said the troops operated against militant infrastructure sites in northern Gaza, including the region “directly adjacent to the hospital.
