Housing developers in England fail to provide biodiversity measures required in their planning conditions, developments regularly missing wood planting, wild flower meadows, hedgehog highways and bat boxes promised by companies.
Since last year, housing promoters have been required to provide a net gain of 10% biodiversity or housing for all new projects in England. Before that, previous policies have also encouraged developers to improve the nature of various ways.
