Green Day reacts to the new Hollywood star and the flavor of Slurpee 7-Eleven: “ It's like a dream of fever ''

Green Day celebrated their fame renowned star and his new Slurpee flavor, Kerplunk Kandy Grape, with a fan pop-up in Hollywood this weekend.
Green Day has a moment, and they dip in each song … without puns.
The legendary Punk Rock trio struck Hollywood last week to celebrate two major stages – a personalized Slurpee launch of 7 -Eleven and their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Singer Billie Joe Armstrong always seemed incredulous when he thought about recognition.
“I did not expect a million years that we would never have a star like that,” he said PEOPLE. “It always flows. It's like a fever dream. ” The star, number 2,810 on the emblematic sidewalk, is now proudly at 6212 Hollywood Blvd., next to the Amiba music.

On Thursday, the dedication ceremony highlighted longtime supporters, including Matt Pinfield, the music producer Rob Cavallo and Ryan Reynolds, who made a tribute speech. Rapper Flavour Flav also appeared.
A day later, Armstrong and his group comrades Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool helped launch the Kerplunk Kandy Grape Slurpee – a mixture of green flavors of papa and grapes, named after their 1991 Kerplunk album!
The new drink is more than a simple promotional link for the group. “It's a dream come true,” said Dirnt. “When you are a child, you mix all the flavors of Slurpee, trying to do yours. Who does not want to conceive of his own slurpee, right?
Dirnt added that honor felt personal. “It's great for fans,” he said. “They can come and see something that validates their love for the green day. After the ceremony, I went to take a two -hour nap. I was so exceeded.”
Tré Cool shared similar excitation. “It's hard to be crazy when you drink a slurpee,” he said, laughing. “It somehow induces happiness, and this is something that we can totally be late.”
The flavor is the result of a partnership between Green Day, 7-Eleven, and the group's own coffee brand, Punk Bunny. The slurpee is available for a limited time in 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes selection locations.
Los Angeles fans can take their reception or Slurpee Cup to a special pop-up event, the Kerplunk Kandy Speakeasy, on May 3 and 4. Held at 6501 Hollywood Blvd. From noon to 6 p.m., the experience includes product tastings, freight gifts and clothing customization. The first 100 visitors each day will receive an exclusive loot of the green day like tote bags, t-shirts and hats.
