Google Workspace has new AI features for your business

Here are five things in the technology that happened this week in Business Tech News and how they affect your business. Have you missed them?

This week in Business Tech News

Business Tech News # 1 – Google Workspace presents new AI features through Gemini, Cat, Gmail and Slides.

Google Workspace has published several improvements fueled by AI in its suite of tools, aimed at stimulating productivity and rationalizing workflows for professional users. Improvements of Gemini applications include the web – A new interactive workspace that allows users to write documents and collaborate with AI for comments, tone adjustments and formatting. Audio preview Allows users to generate audio -style podcast audio summaries of deep documents or research reports, facilitating the consumption of information on the go. Google slides improvements – A Consolidated side design sidebar offers Quick access to new models, pre-formulated construction blocks such as agendas and quotes, a library of photos and enlarged GIFs, and images generated by AI, simplifying the creation of visually convincing presentations. Why is this important for your business:

The problem that most of the commercial offices suit such as Google Workspace or Office 365 are underused. Microsoft and Google continue to deploy new features and yet most of us do not spend time learning them. Many of my clients still use these products as they did 20 years ago – for basic word processing or analysis of calculation sheets. But as more AI features are introduced, it becomes even more important to take the time (and invest money), obtain training for consultants and other familiar professionals with these features, because many of these capacities can have a significant impact on productivity.

Business Tech News # 2 – Autonomous robot designed to simplify the monitoring of warehouse stocks.

Omniscanbot – An autonomous robot developed by Kennesaw State University in collaboration with Ruggar US LLC – has been developed to rationalize the monitoring of warehouse stocks. Designed to “simplify, accelerate and save stocks in large warehouses, technology uses RFID scan – offering more precision than the digitization of bar codes or manual counting. Equipped with cameras, Lidar and navigation software to map and move independently in warehouses, it solves ineffectures in traditional inventory controls, which are often inaccurate and subject to expensive errors. Why is this important for your business:

Robots like these will ultimately make cycles, verify stocks and product safety analysis in a warehouse, just as people do now. It will be a huge advantage for my clients who will not find enough time workers or workers who are conscientious enough to follow the quantities in this way.

Business Tech News # 3 – USB flash discs disappear. Use these alternatives instead.

USB flash discs become obsolete due to their limited storage capacity, slower speed and obsolete USB-A connectors. External hard drives are among the most popular alternatives. Other alternatives such as cloud storage and microSD cards offer better performance, larger capacities and greater compatibility with current devices. They offer much more storage (up to 4 TB and more), and SSDs in particular impress with their high transfer speed. These options provide faster data transfer rates and are more suitable for today's volume data needs. (Source: Pcworld))

Why is this important for your business:

I wear a handful of USB flash discs and on my list of 100 main problems of the day, they are not on it. Readers have a lot of space to copy the file types for which I am necessary and the copy / paste process generally takes a few seconds. They are inexpensive, portable and adaptable by almost any device. I can't imagine carrying a heavier and more expensive external hard drive, I don't know how to use microSD cards and have you tried to save / download from the cloud? It takes much more time. At the end of the line (and at least for me), I do not see the USB flash readers disappear anytime soon.

Business Tech News # 4 – Legal trends report: How law firms adapt to digital payments.

The article explores how law firms adopt digital payments to improve their financial health. Key trends that have been reported include online payments because 66% of customers now prefer credit cards and online transactions. Digital payment solutions reduce processing time and improve cash flows, companies see faster payments. Law firms adopt secure portals for transactions, ensuring better data protection while AI and automation tools prove to optimize billing cycles and reduce manual workload. (Source: Legal insider))

Why is this important for your business:

The legal profession is by far (for me) the most difficult to implement new technologies. Lawyers are busy, at the forefront and any time spent learning new technologies is at the time of billable hours. This shows how precious some of these tools can be if they can be deployed in the spanks of a company.

Business Tech News # 5 – Wix and ActiveCampaign launch integration to improve customer engagement and marketing automation.

Wix and ActiveCampaign announced this week a new partnership that brings advanced marketing automation directly to the Wix platform. Integration allows companies – from franchise solopreneurs – synchronizing seamless customer data, personalize the campaigns according to user behavior and automate marketing efforts without bolishing between the tools. Users can also obtain centralized reports and improved multi-localization support via ActiveCampaign HQ. The company claims that its objective is to help small teams with smarter power, faster growth without general technical costs. (Source: Benzinga))

Why is this important for your business:

I have a number of customers who use the two WIX for the creation of websites and ActiveCampaign for their campaigns by email in marketing – and so far, the two systems have been seated with each other as islands. This means that companies – in particular small businesses with fewer resources have been forced to import / export or reintegrate the data collected on their websites in their marketing campaigns manually, a long process that often takes low prices on the list of priorities and when there are data entry errors. This type of integration is of great help for companies using both platforms.

Each week, I bring together five professional news that has an impact on your business (and mine) and explains why.
