GM names the initiate Duncan Alloud to direct business in North America
(Reuters) -Genéral Motors (GM) appointed the initiate Duncan Alloud on Monday, the president of his activities in North America, to count immediately, a few days after the automaker reduced his profits in 2025 on the concerns concerning the American prices.
Alloud, which has been working at GM for 33 years, has recently been vice-president of the company's commercial growth strategies and operations.
He will fall under Rory Harvey, the president of the global market activity of the Detroit car manufacturer.
The appointment comes at a time when the American automaker's American activities underwent President Donald Trump's import prices on foreign automotive parts.
Earlier this month, GM has reduced its annual profits forecasts, adding that it expects a pricing impact up to $ 5 billion. The company has also interrupted share buybacks worth $ 2 billion.
