Kiel – The City recently received a state subsidy of $ 60,000 to help small businesses from its Riverwalk district.
The city will use funds to provide small businesses in low interest loans for improvements and financial support from the district, according to a press release.
Companies that obtain loans through this renewable loan program will also receive individual commercial advice from Lakeshore progress To help find and use resources to succeed.
“The Small Business Development Grant is an important opportunity to continue supporting Kiel local entrepreneurs and small businesses,” Kiel’s administrator Dave Funkhouser said in a press release. “Our small businesses are vital in our city to stimulate innovation, create jobs and promote economic growth.”
Nineteen organizations across Wisconsin have received nearly $ 3.2 million in grants through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Small Enterprises Development Subsidies program, which is part of an initiative led by Governor Tony Evers and WedC to raise small businesses through the state.
Subsidies vary from $ 50,000 to $ 250,000 and funds must be sent directly to small businesses.
