Former NBA player, the coach Li was inducted into the temple of sports fame

Amityville, NY – A former NBA player and coach of the Amityville school district will be inducted at the Suffolk sports fame for the promotion of 2025.
AJ Price, Deputy Coach of University Basketball of the Volcial School of Amityville and a former NBA playmaker, will be honored on the 35th anniversary of the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame on May 29 in Flowerfield in St. James.
Price graduated from the Amityville Memorial high school in 2004, after having led school to three consecutive long Island championships and two state titles during its second year and its junior seasons.
He played Basketball of Division I on a complete basketball scholarship at the University of Connecticut from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, he was the top scorer of the Uconn Huskies, who qualified for the Final Four of the Basketball Tournament of Division I of the NCAA.
Price continued to play basketball for five NBA teams from 2009 to 2015 and was one of the coach staff who led Amityville to his 20th Suffolk county championship in the history of the program.
