A second day of protests and troubles took place on Saturday while residents of a Los Angels' predominance district clashed with federal immigration and customs agents (ICE).

The agents used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowds in the district of Paramount.

US President Donald Trump said 2,000 national guards would be deployed in California to meet the demonstrations, which have been triggered by raids targeting undocumented migrants.

California Governor Gavin Newsom described the decision to be “deliberately inflammatory” and said it would increase tensions.
