Two of the largest health problems in the modern era – ultra -treble foods (UPF) and microplastics – have one thing in common: we do not really know if or how they harm our health. But the researchers offer a daring new idea: that these problems are really linked and that the UPFs contain particularly high levels of microplastics which aggravate mental health.
