Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club landed two year -round coach prizes in the Rocky Mountain division

The US Ski and Snowboard Rocky Mountain division announced two Steamboat Springs winter club coaches as recipient of the year coach of the Rocky Mountain division in two categories.
Chad Wolk, head coach Alpine SSWSC FIS / PG, received the RMD capacity coach of the year; And Joe Paul, Alpine U14 head coach from SSWSC, was recognized as coach of the year RMD age of the year.
Price appointments took place earlier this year with coaches from the whole RMD participating in the voting process. Official announcements of the winners were made on April 28.
“During his first season at the top of the FIS / PG program, Chad had an immediate impact – guiding athletes like Jeremy Nolting and Logan Grosdier to meet us ski team criteria and offer impressive performances to the world junior ski championships”.
Meanwhile, Paul had a strong season, helping 17 of the 22 athletes from the U14 team to qualify for the central rocky championships.
“His dedication to sport extends beyond our club, because he actively supports ski races at divisional and national levels,” said Shepherd. “We are fortunate to have coaches that are so passionate and very efficient representing SSWSC.”
The RMD has hosted eight states athletes in the Southern Rocky Mountains since the 1970s. Its high -level programming makes it recognized as one of the country's best programs for snow sports.
“Being recognized by his colleagues coaches as the summit of the Rocky Mountain division – one of the country's most competitive – is an incredible honor,” said Darlene Nolting, director of development for the Snowboard and Snowboard Rocky / Central region.
