Florence is my favorite Italian city to visit. It is extremely accessible on foot, boasts of the art and architecture of the Renaissance, and has the best pizzas, pasta and gelato that I had in the country.
I recommend visiting Gustarium Firenze for their al Taglio pizza, or pizza by cutting. There, you can taste several types of pizzas with an swollen crust and infused with olive oil, ingredients with a fresh taste and combinations of unique flavors, all for what I consider a reasonable price.
To scratch your desire for pasta, I suggest you stop by the Giostra or Osteria Pastella. The first offers a romantic and comfortable atmosphere with 16th century brick arches, praising the incredible tiramisu and ravioli with pecorino and pear. The latter is famous for his cheese wheel and truffle pasta.
The best way to finish your gastronomic tour is with a stop in Sbrino, a gelateria that uses natural ingredients. It is the best gelato that I had anywhere in the world.
