Babil Khan breaks down, slaps Bollywood in a viral video; Internet users wonder if it's real or a blow for disconnection

Hyderabad: Actor Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, recently aroused a general concern on social networks after a video showed him in an emotional state and apparently in distress. The video, initially shared via its Instagram story and then deleted, presented Babil fogs and crying when it called several Bollywood personalities, raising questions about the authenticity of the moment – was it a real aid cry or a calculated decision linked to its latest film, Locout?
Video clips, which have since become viral on platforms like Reddit, show Babil criticizing actors such as Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh ​​Gourav and even singer Arijit Singh. In the video, he said: “There are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh ​​Gourav and Arijit Singh. There are so many more names. Bollywood is so f *****. Bollywood is so screwed.”
In another clip, Babil described the Hindi film industry as “the most false” of which he has ever been part, adding: “But there are a few people who want Bollywood to be better … I have so much more to give you.”
The video left worried and confused fans. While many have expressed their concern for his mental well-being, others have hypothesized that the emotional explosion had perhaps orchestrated in the context of a marketing campaign for disconnection, a psychological cyber-thriller which was created on ZEE5 on April 18, 2025. In the film, Babil plays Pratyush Dua, influence of disturbed social media Hijacks of its fan.
