And there was a lot of festivities! Bloomberg says that IRS has lost more than 30% of listeners – Twitchy

It can sometimes be difficult to write about some of the truly horrible events that occur in the world here in Twitchy. Terrorist attacks, assassination attempts, crimes committed by illegal foreigners and, of course, Joy Behar speaking (thrill).
So, it's good from time to time when we can write about something that is a completely edifying story. Something we can all be late, which makes America happy, and we know that we will smile at everyone's faces.
This is one of these stories.
So, will no longer be lade. Let's go. Ladies and gentlemen, it makes us great pleasure to present our story of Twitchy well-being of the week:
The IRS lost 31% of its listeners from buyouts and layoffs linked to Doge d'Elon Musk, departures likely to interfere with the agency's ability to go after tax cheaters https://t.co/lg7vh1zu1q
– Bloomberg (@business) May 5, 2025
Hourra! Thank you, Doge!
Ok, so it's not a perfect story. It would have been if the IRS had lost 100% of its listeners. But it's a start, and we will take what we can get.
Here are some additional details of Bloomberg UK::
More than 3,600 income officers – responsible for collecting tax payments – have left IRS, according to an IRS surveillance report.
In addition, 18% of income agents, who oversee difficult tax cases, and 10% of tax examors – front -line employees who examine declarations – also left the agency, said the Treasury Inspector General for the Tax Administration in a recent report.
Reducing the IRS workforce is due to a series of movements, stimulated by Musk's Doge, to reduce the agency's workforce. More than 7,300 probation employees have been dismissed. More than 4,100 workers have taken the resignation of Musk “fork in the road”, followed by a second cycle of buyouts where more than 13,100 were approved to leave, according to the report.

Many of these probationary employees have been hired under Joe Biden and his “law on the reduction of inflation” (which, mysteriously, has not reduced inflation by a fraction of percent).
We are happy to see all these dismissed workers so that they can continue their true vocation in life, which probably gives kicks to puppies or steal candy with babies.

We will miss them so much. Honestly. There may be tears.
Or, you know, no.
This is literally what I voted for. https://t.co/qsyy1ook6i

We haven't just voted for it. We had inappropriate fantasies on this subject.

Of course, even with news as wonderful as this one, we know that the Killjoys on the left pulverized their usual chorus as it will prevent the IRS from attacking billionaires.
(Cue Bernie Sanders screaming from one of his three houses.)
Except, they never seem to do that, aren't they? He is always the small business entrepreneur with an Etsy account they arrive, right?
Funny, they always supervise these stories on the reduction of workforce because the negatives because they cannot continue the “tax cheaters”. Isn't the IRS more often Avg American because they do not have the resources to retaliate? It looks like they are always bypassing the main offenders to continue the …

Yes, this is exactly what the IRS targets (as well as the political opponents of the Democrats).
And that is exactly why Biden hired so many new agents and has promulgated a rule that lowered the income reporting threshold via payment applications (such as Paypal or VenMo) from $ 20,000 to $ 600.
OMG how will they go after these cheaters who do not report their advice or who have Veno purchases more than $ 600, this is what they really were looking for
– Loren (@Sdcloren) May 5, 2025
This rule has not yet been abolished, but we hope this could be our next story of well-being.
And the bad news?
– Mikemack33 (@ mike95589) May 5, 2025
There is none.
Ok, very good. We assume there is a few Bad news in that the IRS seat is still standing and has not been reduced to a bunch of rubble.
69% more to go!

You go. It's the mind.
Literally, everyone likes it.
This is reported as bad news, but when we speak, real parts are organized to celebrate this exact thing.– 自由戦士アイデアレーンジャー (@ 1776dairenn) May 6, 2025
Champagne caps were jumped. The balloons fall from the ceiling.
I voted for that https://t.co/z65x8wgmjc pic.twitter.com/xw5dpzipm

I'm at peace with that for the moment.
SIMPLIFY THE Tax code to make the IRS Redundant agents.

Or, better still, completely eliminate federal income tax.
Talk about everyone in America organizing a party. Shindig would never end if it never happened.
For the moment, we are going to win our little victories and our good news where we can get them.
And the IRS having 3,600 less agents to take protology without license to American taxpayers is an excellent start.
