AMD's Radeon RX 9060 XT Bats Retx 5060 Ti of Nvidia for much less money

If you drag hard -makers for a long time, you will hear the “NVIDIA – $ 50” joke launched around the longtime Radeon pricing strategy of AMD. Well, AMD has managed to reverse this trend today, in the consumer segment where prices count the most.
AMD revealed the RX 9060 XT Radeon when the company's Calpex opening – and it assessed the 16 GB model at $ 349. This not only subseval Nvidia avoid all costs 8 GB RTX 5060 TI by $ 30, but it means that the 16 GB 9060 XT is a huge $ 80 cheaper that Nvidia in fact of 16 GB 5060 Ti.
Eight damn. The competition is back on the menu, all!
A quick glance at high level Radeon RX 9060 XT specifications shows that it is available in 8 GB and 16 GB configurations (more on the 8 GB version below). With 32 DNA 4 calculation units, the 9060 XT GPU is half of those found in its largest brother, the series of $ 549 + Radeon 9070.
By assessing the 16 GB Radeon RX 9060 XT so aggressively, it allows AMD to show why 8 GB of memory is not enough in 2025.

The only slide for performance comparison shared with the press compares the Radeon 16 GB against RTX 5060 Ti of 8 GB (which, once again, costs more). AMD says Radeon tested an average of 6% more quickly on a suite of 40 games, with victories in individual matches reaching up to 30% faster. Note closely that the tests were carried out at the resolution of 1440p more intensive in memory here – the figures would undoubtedly be closer if the AMD graphics card was compared to the 16 GB version of Nvidia.
The 9060 XT is also difficult with the 8 GB 5060 TI in ultra -raytracing games – usually a NVIDIA force. Here, the widened memory capacity shines even more, resulting in performance up to 62% higher in its example of a peak. (Ray tracing swallows memory.)
Speaking of shelves tracing, as we have seen with the Radeon RX 9070 series, AMD has seriously updated its ray tracing chops this generation – at least on games with basic ray tracing features. In games with more intensive tracing traced features, including games drawn by the way as Cyberpunk 2077 Overdrive mode and Wukong black myth, The architecture of AMD DNA 4 has struggled, languid far behind Nvidia.
AMD attacked the problem at Computex, announcing “FSR Redstone” (Minecraft Mumbo Jumbo fans get up). This technology adopts a several steps approach to improve visuals and performance in AI tasks, as you can see in the slides above. If it proves the success, the undeniable advance of Nvidia in the tracing of the shelves could be ensured (although DLSS 4 praised from Nvidia already works in advanced versions of these features). Look for FSR Redstone to arrive in the second half of 2025.
It is not the only new FSR Tech, which forced Radeon's performance: AMD says that 40 games will take care of FSR 4 with the frame generation when it was launched on June 5, with the Radeon RX 9060 series.
Finally, AMD also revealed its competitor RTX 5060. The 8 GB Radeon RX 9060 XT will cost $ 299 when it was launched alongside the 16 GB model on June 5.

In the event that you do not remember, Nvidia buried the RTX 5060 reviews because 8 GB of memory is simply not enough in 2025, even for 1080p games. This is always true, even with the Radeon RX 9060 XT 8 GB. That being said, if the 8 GB version of the new AMD graphics card always manages to exceed the RTX 5060 at the same price, this could be a high -value proposition for people who focus on esports or who do not care to refuse graphics in the last games.
Hopefully AMD provides a press with 8 GB of versions of the Radeon RX 9060 XT for examination – Unlike Nvidia. (Seriously, do not buy the RTX 5060 now.) Otherwise, avoid the 8 GB version until the arrival of independent criticisms.
