Bellefonte Business warns customers of price increases in the middle of the prices

Breon's heating and air conditioning did an article on Facebook in April by warning their customers that new federal prices were going to have an impact on their prices.

Maggie MANGENE is the director of the operation at BREON. She said their distributors told them that increases were coming and that they wanted to be honest with customers.

“Any heat pump, water heater, valve hose and even screws. All prices will increase by 5%,” said Modene. “So when we made the Facebook publication, we wanted to tell people:” Hey, the equipment will just become more expensive. If you want to enter, this is the best time so that we can prevent your prices to increase more than you want. “”

Matt Breon, one of the Breon owners, said that he was particularly worried about the disruption of the supply chain during the summer heat.

“We could look at the same situation here where if your air conditioning falls in the middle of the summer when it is 90 degrees, you could be in a situation where you will be without air conditioning for two weeks, even a month,” said Breon.

Michelle McDonough, the other owner of Breon's, said that prices may mean having to reduce their staff to prioritize customers.

“I know that in this economy, we do not want to do it, but to stay in business to be able to support our customers, and you know of loyal customers that we have had for 30 years, to provide in this area, you sometimes have to make cuts where you don't want,” said McDonough.

But if the prices continue, the owners of Breon said that they may have to increase prices more in the future.
