AMD did not provide many performance comparisons, but it is promising that the cards have the same number of calculation units as the latest generation RX 7600 series of AMD. AMD says that the DNA 4 calculation units are much faster than those used for DNA 3, especially in games with activated tracing effects. This has contributed to making the Radeon RX 9070 cards generally as fast or faster as the RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT series, despite the approximately two thirds of many calculation units. Govering to 32 CUS for the 9060 series is not exciting on paper, but we should always see a performance bump from generation to respectable generation. The RX 7600 series, on the other hand, provided an improvement in fairly modest performance compared to the Radeon RX 6650 XT 2022.

AMD says that the total power of the card card – the quantity of power of the whole graphics card, including the GPU itself, the RAM and other components – goes up to 150 W for the 8 GB and 160 W card for the 16 GB card, with a maximum TBP of 182 W., which is higher but generally comparable to RTX 5060 and 5060 performance RX 7600. TSMC 4 Nm more efficient, a substantial upgrade compared to the 6 Nm process used for the 7600 series.
It is unusual for a GPU manufacturer to define a TBP beach – more generally, we are given a single default value. But this is in accordance with the new parameters that we observed in our RX 9070 review; AMD officially takes a range of different user selectable TBP numbers in its Catalyst driver package, and some GPU manufacturers were shipping cards that used higher TBP by default.
Higher power limits may increase performance, but generally increased performance is disproportionately low compared to the increase in power. These power limits must also mean that most 9060 XT can be supplied with a single 8-pin power connector, rather than using several connectors or the 12VHPWR / 12V-2X6 connector to 12 pins.
